Regpit has reached the finals of the Best of Technology Award 2025 by WirtschaftsWoche in the Legal & Tax category.
This marks a major milestone for us – proving that our approach to making AML compliance smarter, safer, and more accessible is truly aligned with the times. In an era where digitization is already a daily reality, including within the bureaucratic systems of obliged entities, it’s essential that these digital tools not only function, but genuinely ease the burden.
What is the Best of Technology Award?
Each year, WirtschaftsWoche honors the most innovative tech solutions in the German-speaking world. The award is presented in collaboration with its partners Fraunhofer ISI, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), and Capgemini, across categories like Corporate Inhouse Solutions, HR, Process Management, and Legal & Tax, among others.
Why Regpit Was Nominated
Large German banks are now spending more than €1 billion annually on anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions compliance. Some have over 1,000 employees dedicated solely to this area. At Regpit, we asked: how are smaller banks, payment institutions, fintechs, as well as law firms, estate agents, and many others supposed to handle this? Most companies still face major manual efforts in their compliance processes.
Regpit’s SaaS application solves this problem through a comprehensive, integrated solution that automates 90% of the necessary AML processes. This is especially vital for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), who often lack the resources and expertise to meet complex compliance requirements.
For the first time, we make efficient AML compliance accessible to the SME market. Our platform is already in use across industries – from international finance companies and payment institutions to real estate firms, lawyers, notaries, tax advisors, and auditors.
Regpit’s Contribution to Germany as a Business Hub
Money laundering, terrorist financing, and sanctions violations pose not just economic but serious geopolitical and national security risks. Especially in today’s global context. Our solution helps curb these threats and strengthens both domestic and European security.
By enabling companies to implement KYC, sanctions screening, and risk management efficiently and in a legally compliant way, Regpit directly contributes to achieving political goals in the fight against financial crime.
We’re showing:
Germany is capable of not only regulation, but also innovation.
With our advanced RegTech platform, we’re making Germany a pioneer in digital compliance solutions across Europe. We prove that in even the most heavily regulated fields, accessible and efficient tech “Made in Germany” is possible – and in high international demand.
Regpit not only strengthens the competitiveness of Germany’s SME sector, but also attracts international businesses seeking reliable solutions in the sensitive area of AML compliance. On top of that, we’re creating high-quality jobs in the tech sector and training skilled professionals in a socially vital field of the future.
“The fact that our platform is now considered one of the best tech solutions of the year confirms our mission: Complex regulation doesn’t have to be complicated – when technology and expertise go hand in hand.” — Dr. Jacob Wende, CEO of Regpit
