From Law Firm to RegTech

Jan-Wolfgang Kröger is moving from the international law firm Linklaters to Regpit. At Regpit, he brings extensive experience in financial market regulation as well as in advising financial institutions and asset managers.

“Joining Regpit is the logical next step for me: it allows me to apply my legal expertise in an environment where technology creates real value. Especially in the area of anti-money laundering and sanctions management, law and technology can be combined in a way that makes regulatory processes simpler and more practical,” explains Kröger.

Expertise Meets Technology

With this new role, Regpit is continuing its strategy of combining legal expertise with technological innovation. The goal is to design regulatory processes digitally so they can be implemented both efficiently and in compliance with the law.

CEO Dr. Jacob Wende emphasizes: “With Jan-Wolfgang, we’re gaining not only an excellent legal expert but also someone who shares our vision of combining expertise and software. He will play a central role in the strategic development of Regpit.”

Outlook: Growth in Germany and Europe

With Kröger taking over the leadership of the “Experts & Advisory Services AML” division, Regpit is laying the groundwork for its next phase of growth:

  • Expansion of the SaaS platform with AI technologies
  • Opening up new customer segments
  • Strategic Partnerships
  • Expansion into additional European markets

In light of the upcoming launch of the EU anti-money laundering authority (AMLA) and growing regulatory requirements, scalable and cross-border compliance solutions are becoming increasingly important.
