Updating the list of countries with strategic deficiencies
The FATF's so-called "grey" list has been updated.
New countries on the list
Algeria, Côte d'Ivoire, Angola and Lebanon have been added. Countries under enhanced monitoring are actively working with the FATF to address internal strategic deficiencies in the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing. The countries are committed to implementing an action plan. This is intended to remedy the deficiencies identified within the agreed deadlines.
Countries removed from the list
Senegal was removed from the "grey" list instead. Countries are generally removed if, according to the FATF, they make significant progress in addressing strategic deficiencies in the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing.
