Regpit is a finalist for Wirtschaftswoche's Best of Technology Award 2025

Regpit is in the final of the Best of Technology Awards 2025 of WirtschaftsWoche in the Legal & Tax category.

A milestone that shows that our approach to making AML compliance smarter, more secure and more accessible is in tune with the times. A time in which digitalisation has long been part of everyday life, including in the bureaucratic environment of committed companies.
This is precisely why it must not only function there, but also provide concrete relief.

What is the Best of Technology Award?

Every year, WirtschaftsWoche, together with its cooperation partners Fraunhofer ISI, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and Capgemini, honours the most innovative technology solutions in German-speaking countries in categories such as Corporate Inhouse Solutions, HR, Process Management, Legal & Tax and many more.

Why Regpit was nominated

The big German banks now spend more than 1 billion euros a year on money laundering and sanctions. They have more than 1,000 people working on this topic alone. At Regpit, we asked ourselves how smaller banks, payment institutions, fintechs, but also law firms, estate agents and many other companies are supposed to solve this? In addition, there is a considerable amount of manual work involved in the processes at many companies.

Regpit's SaaS application solves this problem in a comprehensive, integrated solution and automates 90 % of all necessary processes. This is particularly important for small and medium-sized companies that lack the resources and expertise to manage the complex compliance requirements. In this way, we are making efficient money laundering compliance accessible to the SME market for the first time ever and complex regulatory requirements can also be implemented for them with our solution.

Our solution is already being used by companies from various sectors, including international finance companies, payment institutions, companies from the property sector, lawyers, notaries, tax consultants, auditors and many others.

Regpit's contribution to Germany as a business location

Money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions offences are not only economic challenges, but also security policy challenges, particularly in light of the current geopolitical situation. Our solution actively contributes to containing these threats and strengthening internal security in Germany and Europe.

We enable companies to implement regulatory requirements such as KYC, sanctions list checks and risk management efficiently and with legal certainty, thus making a concrete contribution to the realisation of political goals in the fight against financial crime.
In doing so, we show: Germany can not only regulate, but also innovate.
With our highly developed RegTech platform, we are making Germany a pioneer for digital compliance solutions in Europe. We are proving that modern, accessible and efficient technologies "Made in Germany" are possible even in a highly regulated environment - and are in demand internationally.

Regpit not only strengthens the competitiveness of German SMEs, but also attracts international companies that are looking for reliable solutions in the sensitive area of money laundering prevention. In addition, we are creating high-quality jobs in the tech sector and qualifying skilled workers for a socially highly relevant topic of the future.

"The fact that our platform is now one of the best tech solutions of the year confirms our claim:
Complex regulation doesn't have to be complicated if technology and expertise work together."
- Dr Jacob Wende, CEO of Regpit

What this nomination means for us

For us, the selection of finalists is a strong sign:

  • The fact that money laundering prevention is gaining more and more relevance and attention
  • That awareness of the scope of money laundering and organised crime is created
  • That technological support can make a major contribution to the efficient, secure implementation of regulatory requirements
  • And that modern technology, such as our AML software, can significantly reduce the effort involved in the day-to-day work of the obligated parties.

The winner of the award will be announced in August 2025.
Until then, we will continue to work towards our goal of making compliance simpler, safer and more efficient.
